
The 10th edition of CISA – Innovation and Food Safety Conference was held May 23, 2019 at the Escola Superior de Turismo e Tecnologia do Mar do Politécnico de Leiria (ESTM/IPLeiria). This conference aims to be a vehicle for the dissemination of applied research and discussion of themes related to safety and food innovation, as well as the promotion of interaction between the academic community and other actors of the food sector.

Under the theme “Innovation in the agri-food value chain: the importance of collaboration”, Ana Machado Silva from SONAE presented the ValorMar project, highlighting the importance of cooperation between different entities in the search for products, processes or services that, by valuing marine resources, combine sustainability, innovation and the capacitation of national entities.
